What morphology is suitable for this vest?
Designed for sailors weighing between 40 and 130kg with a waist circumference between 60 and 130cm.
How does automatic triggering work?
When you fall into the water, the salt pellet dissolves instantly, pierces the compressed CO2 cylinder and inflates the bladder in less than five seconds. To restart the vest: – Deflate it using the back of the cap on the oral inflation tube. – Fold the bladder and close the textile cover. Change the cartridge and the salt pellet following the instructions in the reset kit: 8303768
How to check your vest before going sailing? 1/2
– The CO² cartridge: check that it is not pierced, without any trace of corrosion, well screwed – The trigger (black): well screwed, not expired, green cap present – The firing pin (yellow): green seal (green triangle) present indicating that the vest has not been triggered. – The vest: Complete and without signs of wear (tears, frayed), inflatable bladder stored in its cover.
How to check your vest before going sailing? 2/2
In addition, regularly (at least once a year): – Inflate the vest using the mouthpiece, and leave it inflated for 1 hours: the vest must not lose pressure – Check the expiry dates of the trigger
How to rearm your vest?
Carefully follow the assembly order: 1. Disassemble the CO² tablet and the salt tablet 2. Replace the salt tablet 3. Replace the CO² cartridge If you do not follow this assembly order, there is a risk of hitting the new cartridge if the salt tablet trigger system has been used previously.
When should the gas cylinder and striker (salt tablet) be replaced?
– CO² cartridge = Check at least once a year that it is not corroded and that the weight of the cartridge corresponds to the weight engraved on the cartridge. If there is a difference of 1 gram, it must be replaced. – Salt tablet = Expiration date, written in this form: 05 2025 (for May 2025). It must be replaced when this date is exceeded, or if the end of the cylinder is red and no longer has the green tablet.
Storage conditions
The trigger uses a UML salt pellet, which is sensitive to water and humidity. Storage in a damp, poorly ventilated, and/or hot area can generate condensation, causing the trigger to fire. To avoid accidental triggering, we recommend ensuring the vest is dry (inside and out) before storing it in a ventilated area.
