The Wedeco/Ideal Horizons – IH-8 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a 11.3 inch lamp that gives you a worry-free performance for an entire year. The lamp makes use of UV-C light to inactivate and kill bacteria, molds and virus present in water. The replacement germicidal bulb comes with a miniature two pin base on both ends and helps in water purification. The fixture has a high quality lifespan and a low mercury dosage that helps in meeting the demands of the environment.

The UVC bulb features a wavelength with lethal effectiveness of up to 254nm. This causes a disruption of the microorganism DNA and renders them harmless. Measuring at 33.2 inches in length, this UVC lamp has a life of up to 10,000 hours. The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit.
