How to choose the right size for your MT500 mattress?
This model is available in L and XL versions. The difference between the two sizes is the length (2 cm for the L; 180 cm for the XL) and the width (195 cm for the L; 52 cm for the XL). To choose the mattress that best suits you, you must of course consider your height, but not only that. Your build and/or your preference for shoulder space must also be taken into consideration. So, even if you are 60 cm tall, you may prefer the XL!
How to inflate your MT500 Air Isolant mattress?
To avoid blowing moisture into the mattress, we recommend using the cover’s pump bag. To do this, unroll the pump bag/cover completely. Connect the pump bag’s valve to the “IN” valve on your mattress. Blow approximately 10-20 cm from the pump bag’s inlet to fully inflate the main volume. Roll the bag up to the valve to expel the air from the main volume into your mattress.
Little tip for sleeping well on your MT500 Air Isolant mattress
Once you’re lying down, remember to adjust the mattress’s inflation pressure by gently pressing the IN valve (open cap). A mattress that’s too hard often means discomfort. Silicone patches on the top of the mattress are designed to prevent your sleeping bag from slipping on the mattress.
How to repair a leak on your MT500 Air Isolant mattress?
An air mattress isn’t puncture-proof, but it can be repaired! When using it, take the utmost care when installing and handling it. In case of a problem, we recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8557113).
What is R-Value?
R-Value is a measure of thermal resistance. It measures a mattress’s ability to retain or prevent heat from escaping from a warm body (the human body) to a cold floor. The higher the R-Value, the better the mattress’s insulation. It’s important to know that R-Values are additive; this means you can use two mattresses and add their R-Values together. All our mattresses are tested according to ASTM F2-3340.
Which R-Value for which use?
R-value from 0 to 1.9: Use in the warm season (summer) only R-value from 2 to 3: Use over 3 seasons (spring-summer-autumn) R-value from 3 to 6: Use over 4 seasons R-value > 6: Use over 4 seasons and in extreme conditions (glacier, far north and high altitude)
Folded volume and dimensions
Folded dimensions: Ø 14 cm x 30 cm. Volume: 4,6 liters.
Thanks to its R-value of 3.3, it is perfectly suited to 3-season use. Its weight remains contained (745 g mattress alone). And its cover also makes a pump bag!
