Weight and dimensions

Weight: 1,5kg Height: Width: 110 cm: Depth: 180 cm: 80 cm. The IWIKO beach sun shelter can be stored in its parasol cover (provided). Cover dimensions (empty): 70×24 cm. Cover dimensions (shelter inside): 60 x 15 x 15 cm. This beach tent can accommodate up to 3 adults.

Sun protection and new interior finish

UPF 50+ component: blocks at least 98% of UVB rays and 95% of UVA rays. We have changed the interior finish, called “COATING”, it is transparent, for optimal protection, present on all colors. This new coating also allows us to use less energy during the production phase.

Behavior in the sun

Although this beach umbrella provides protection from direct sunlight, other factors such as reflections on water, sand, heat or time of day must be taken into account. Using this shelter does not exempt you from following appropriate behaviors: wearing sunglasses, a hat or cap, a UV top (see our anti-UV clothing), regularly applying suitable sunscreen, drinking regularly, etc.

Opening and closing in a single gesture.

Instant opening and closing system. The shelter opens by pulling on the ring present at the back and closes in a single gesture, by pushing the closing button.

Wind resistance

The IWIKO beach shelter has two ways of fixing it to the ground: 1) Pegs for fixing the prasol in the sand or earth. 2) Sand pockets for a secure hold, without the use of pegs. The shelter also comes with guy ropes, which are useful for stiffening its structure. It is recommended not to use this shelter in winds above 30 km/h, as it could fly away.
