empressissi™ is pleased to offer this extremely rare and hardly used, SICURA ‘Globetrotter’ multi-timezone GMT vintage watch with an inhouse manual wind movement and phenomenal condition. This watch gives you the time in Europe, GMT (England) and New York City. In addition, the outer bezel can be rotated in such a way that the right time in every time zone can be calculated. It is considered the most important watch from this company, which now owns Breitling. It is extremely rare to find one of these with no loss on the case plating.
The watch houses an inhouse SIC 40 manual wind caliber, it is running well and keeping good time on 21 jewels with functional date. The movement sits in a heavy chrome plated large case with no plate loss, which is extremely hard to find. It has an original crown and mint crystal, with a bilateral bezel for GMT sections and a stainless back, all in fantastic condition. (Please note that this watch was not tested to be waterproof although it most likely still is).
The dial of this watch is an original factory made black dial in near mint condition, exceptional in every standard with an original set of five hands.
This phenomenal Sicura watch is impressive in any possible way and will surely be an amazing addition to any collection, it measures 41 mm round excluding the crown and 41mm top to bottom.
Attached to this watch is a possibly later yet matching SICURA signed stainless steel bracelet, will fit a wrist of up to 185mm.
