CPM 154 Blanchard Ground Stainless Steel

Blanchard ground stainless steel, also known as CPM 154, are steel bars or steel stock made from powdered metal. It has a high Rockwell hardness (aim is 58/60) and holds a strong, sharp edge. It has very good wear-resistance and corrosion resistance. Blanchard steel polishes to a mirror finish for a shiny blade. Choose the right size for your knifemaking project from thicknesses of 1/8″, 5/32”, 3/16”, 3/32”, and 1/4″; widths of 1”, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 2”, and 4”; and lengths of 18” or 36”.

Typical chemistry: C 1.05, Mn .50, Si .30, Cr 14.00, Mo 4.00
