Level III Steel Side Plate (6×6) – Kevlar Wrapped

Predator Armor Level III Side Plates are produced in the United States using ballistic-grade steel and offer an option for a Kevlar-lined spall and fragmentation containment layer. Our manufacturing method employs a distinctive heat treatment, quenching, and tempering technique that results in an exceptionally hardened steel plate. Predator Armor plates are lightweight, resistant to impact, and possess excellent ballistic characteristics. This enables us to offer thinner plates while maintaining a high level of protection.

Each of our body armor side plates features a base coat that enhances the appearance of the plate and provides durable qualities. However, this coating does not offer fragmentation protection. All side plates can be upgraded with a Kevlar lining, which provides containment for fragmentation and spalling and also improves the overall performance of the armor. If your carrier or plate lacks anti-fragmentation features, we highly recommend adding the Kevlar lining.
