The perfect cotton all-rounder

Maurice Brassard cotton weaving yarns are beautiful all-around weaving yarns grown and spun in the United States. This 16/2 cotton is available in over 80 colours and in a range of sizes to suit almost any project.

The cotton is unmercerised with a matte finish, making it absorbent and breathable. This cotton yarn is excellent for lightweight weaving projects and homewares. It’s also a great yarn to use when a tabby is required or for overshot patterns. 

16/2 cotton is a laceweight yarn that is half as thick as the Ne 8/2. It has been spun with a tight even twist making it suitable for both warp and weft. 

The spools are approximately 227g (1/2 lb) on a cardboard core.

Sizes available include Ne 16/2, 8/2, 8/4, 8/8 and 8/16.

The weaving sett varies depending on your project, the suggested sett for Ne 16/2 yarns is 24 – 36.
