Though Fortis is mainly known as a company that creates watches for aviators, its Marine collection has already managed to prove its excellence. The B-42 Marinemaster Day/Date watch is equipped with Swiss-made ETA 2836-2 automatic calibre that performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 26 bearing jewels. Other movement characteristics include Incabloc shock absorber and fine timing device. Hands, numerals, indices and bezel elements are covered with luminous paint to ensure visibility in the dark. A day and date display is positioned at the 3 o’clock mark. Indicators are bilingual, coming in both English and German. The uni-directional, rotating bezel is available to measure elapsed time. Additional useful functionalities include screw-down case back, blue afterglow on the luminous elements and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
