Jende Nanocloth Ultra bench strops are on the cutting edge of knife stroppingtechnology! The 2”x6”mm acrylic bases for these strops are 3/4″ thick – enoughthickness for handheld stropping as well as bench mounted use. Each colormatches our Jende Diamond Emulsions for easy reference without the need toconstantly flip over the strop to see what grit it is. Grit colors are asfollows: 15 Micron (White), 12 Micron (Black), 8 Micron (Lime), 4 Micron(Fuchsia), 2 Micron (Purple), 1 Micron (Blue), 0.5 Micron (Red), 0.25 Micron(Green), 0.10 Micron (Yellow), 0.025 Micron (Orange). Please note that thesestrops do not come with our Poly Diamond or CBN Emulsions. The Jende NanoclothUltra is a synthetic stropping material that has no weave, so feedback is thesame in all directions. Other weaved strops tend to have noticeable resistancechange feedback variations, like a rug when vacuuming, which can make yousecond guess your stropping stroke. The Honeycomb structure is veryconsistent. The shape allows the emulsions to fill up the honeycombs, keepingmore abrasive on the strop and off your knife. The shape also fills up andbeads on the surface, giving a snow-shoe effect with even scratches whenstropping. The depth of the honeycomb has little compression – less thanleather in general. Because of the depth of abrasive in the honeycomb tubes,differential pressure can be used to give the strop more or less aggression byadding pressure for more aggression, and super light strokes to just ticklethe edge for finish stropping. The color-coded Acrylic base allows you toinstantly recognize the grit strop you desire to use, saving time andconfusion. Laser etched to ensure long-lasting and clear identification marks
