It’s always nice to have a Probat”ish” BRZ twin-barrel, open-snoot sample roaster around to work those new bean profiles, right? And this one is at a price you can’t turn down. Check out the motor up top of that external chaff collector. This is serious business!

This sample roaster is from Coffee Pro Direct, a solid coffee roastery equipment manufacturer since 2009. Features the acclaimed open-snoot traditional drum for allowing sampling by sight, smell, and sound. A definite roast master’s choice. Has digital temperature controls and rapid cooling time. Roasts up to 100-gram batches.

Purchased from its original buyer, who used it only a couple times a week, this SR’s current owner had the same low use, sample roasting bi-weekly in their lab. They have moved into other modes of roasting, no longer needing this machine which has been on standby for a few years now. Last used in 2020, it’s in solid shape with not much sample roasting through it. Nice!

It runs on 220v power and is fueled by natural gas. Each drum has an individual ignition, air, flame, and thermostat control. The unit includes an external chaff collector and connecting ducting.
