2003 Wimbledon Champion, Roger Federer’s racquet and an update of the ProStaff Original 6.0 85, the Tour 90 is Wilson’s latest addition to their ProStaff line-up. The Tour 90 puts stock in ProStaff heritage – 17mm straight beam, Perimeter Weighting System, braided graphite / kevlar construction and a classic tan leather grip – to produce a fully satisfying tennis playing experience.

Further reverting the Tour 90 back to the roots of ProStaff development is the absence of a swing index number on the frame. Available in matched pairs, the Tour 90 benefits from Wilson’s tighter specification tolerance during the manufacturing process. According to Wilson, “the matched pairs option allows even the most discerning players to find the same playing feel from each racquet.”We found the Tour 90 played very similar to the ProStaff Original 6.0 85, while offering slightly more feel. The Tour 90 also felt more arm friendly in play compared to the Original, and the increase in head size results in a slightly larger sweet spot. The Tour 90 could be Wilson’s ultimate answer to players who enjoyed the playing characteristics of the ProStaff 6.0 Original 85, but perhaps found it a little too demanding.
