Hardy – St. George 3″ Fly Reel

For sale here is a 3″ Hardy St. George fly reel in good used condition. Mechanically sound with a few cosmetic issues. A pre-WWII reel with leaded finish, 3-screw spool latch cover and ribbed brass foot. Gray agate line guard has 2 hairline cracks, and the rim mounted tensioner works as intended. RHW only. Both the spool and frame appear to have received a cleaning/polishing at some point, leaving some fine scratches. Also, the frame has some spots of corrosion that have been buffed out, notably on the raised spindle boss and the rim between the tensioner screw and the foot. Mechanically the reel is nice and tight. A decent 3-screw St. George to take fishing. Sold in an aftermarket neoprene pouch.
