Dumroo is a small percussion instrument used traditionally by the Hindus and Buddhists for a long time. In Indian Mythology, lord Shiva created the whole universe with the sound of the Dumroo. The Dumroo, also commonly spelled as Damroo or Dumaroo, is played by gently holding the narrow central region with the fingers and vigorously twisting the wrist.
