The HAPSITE® is a person-portable Gas Chromatograph/Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) capable of identifying and quantifying volatile organic compounds (VOCs), toxic industrial chemicals (TICs), toxic industrial materials (TIMs), chemical warfare agents (CWAs), and select semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs).

The HAPSITE can sample vapors directly in real time (MS only) or via an internal sample concentrator in GC/MS mode. Mass spectra can be searched against the on-board NIST MS library and quantitative results of GC/MS data can be produced using the on-board target compound analysis software. An optional Heated Headspace System (HHS) is available for purge-and-trap analysis of water samples.

Condition

Used. Received as surplus equipment reported as functional. The unit was powered on and results are shown in the photos. The service module does successfully attach and pump down. No further testing was performed.
