1976 HAMILTON ‘Jupiter’ Electronic Date Gents Swiss Vintage Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this elegant and all original Swiss made HAMILTON watch for men from the mid 70s with a hybrid electronic movement known as the ‘Jupiter’ from 1976, with date and hack.

The watch houses an hybrid Hamilton 683 semi-mechanical watch, running with a balance wheel but driven by a battery instead of a mainspring. This is a pioneer pre-Quartz era experiment developed by ESA and retailed by Hamilton, among others. Itis running well and keeping good time on high beat rate with date function. The movement is cased in a large and robust stainless steel case in excellent shape with the original crystal and signed crown.

The dial is factory original and in mint condition – textured silver with applied baton markers and an original set of hands.

This Hamilton watch measures 36mm side to side (excluding crown) and 40mm from top lug to bottom lug.

Attached to this watch is a brand new genuine leather band in slim black, 18mm wide with a generic stainless steel anti-allergic buckle.
