Recommended for targeted testing of strontium-90 in drinking water. Strontium-90 is a radioactive isotope of strontium commonly found in the environment and exposure to high levels for strontium can affect bone growth in children, as well as has been linked to leukemia and bone cancer in adults.
This Tap Score water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include detailed, quantified analysis of strontium-90 by EPA method 901.1( or equivalent).
Note: This test includes a first analysis of total strontium (combined sum of strontium-89 and strontium-90). If no total strontium is detected, then all results are typically complete in 10 working days or fewer. However, if total strontium is detected, subsequent analysis will continue to further obtain a specific results for that radioactive strontium-90 isotope. This second phase of analysis can require up to two additional weeks to confirm a significant result.
