Description
The Skygen Trichoderma spp. Probe Real-time PCR Kit is designed for the sensitive and specific quantitative detection of Trichoderma spp. DNA using hydrolysis probes in real-time PCR assays. During amplification, Taq DNA polymerase amplifies the target DNA with a primer-probe set designed for Trichoderma-specific regions. The 5’ nuclease activity of the polymerase degrades the bound probe, releasing a quenched FAM signal. The increase in FAM fluorescence indicates target DNA amplification. A Ct value is determined when fluorescence significantly exceeds background levels, allowing for relative quantification of the target among samples.
⚠️ This version of the kit does not include an internal control.
✅ A plasmid-based positive control containing the target detection gene is included. Users can use the positive control to generate standard curves for quantification.
If an internal control is needed, please contact us with the type of sample to be tested — our team can assist in customizing a compatible internal control.
Application areas: Detection of Trichoderma spp. in biopesticides, soil testing, and contamination monitoring in industrial environments.
Format: 50 reactions per kit (20 µL per reaction).

FAQ
Q1: What are Trichoderma spp.?
A1: Trichoderma spp. are beneficial filamentous fungi commonly found in soil and on plants. They are used as biofertilizers, biocontrol agents, and in enzyme production.
Q2: Why is detecting Trichoderma spp. important?
A2: Detection is essential for verifying fungal load in agricultural products, monitoring root colonization, and ensuring contamination-free industrial fermentation processes.
Q3: What is the detection sensitivity of this kit?
A3: The kit has an analytical LOD of 100 copies per reaction, making it suitable for detecting low levels of Trichoderma DNA.
Q4: Does the kit include a positive control?
A4: Yes. A plasmid containing the Trichoderma-specific target gene is provided as a positive control. It can also be used to establish a standard curve for quantitative assays.
Q5: Does the kit include an internal control?
A5: No, this version does not contain an internal reference gene control. However, if you require an internal control, we can provide technical support and help design one based on your sample type.
Q6: Is this kit suitable for both qualitative and quantitative testing?
A6: Yes, it supports both. For quantitative detection, a standard curve can be created using the provided positive control.
