Petzl Twin Release System is a pre-assembled, high-efficiency haul kit with release function under load. This ready-to-use kit is designed to be attached to a tripod or fixed overhead anchor for vertical work access and rescue in industrial environments. It allows the user to easily lower and haul a load, most commonly in a confined space. It can also be used to tilt and orient a litter or tension a tripod. With a 4:1 mechanical advantage, this system reduces user effort by a factor of four and can manage a heavy load up to 280 kg. The system is releasable under load and provides additional lowering control when using the auxiliary brake on the TWIN RELEASE. Additionally, the toothless cam preserves the rope and allows for a smooth transition from hauling to lowering. This kit’s maximum working height is 15 meters (~50 feet) when fully extended.
