1951 GRUEN ‘Autowind Ace’ Bumper Gents Military Style Watch

empressissi™ is pleased to offer this gorgeous and all original, military style GRUEN wrist watch from their exclusive Autowind series with a sought after bumper technology movement. This watch is ready to wear, gift or add to your collection.

The watch houses a bumper automatic 480SS caliber, running on 17 jewels with sweep seconds. It is cased in a GRUEN original relatively small, military style case in stainless steel (Gruen branded as ‘Guildite’) model and has a mint acrylic crystal and original crown.

The dial is an amazing factory original example in near mint condition with the original Radium filling on both the numerals and the original set of hands.

This collectible GRUEN watch measures 31,5mm side to side (excluding crown) and 39mm from top lug to bottom lug and is modest in size even for a vintage watch.

Attached to this watch is standard length, brand new 16 mm wide NATO strap in olive green, great match for this vintage WW2 style wrist watch.
