23L hiking backpack – NH Escape 500

Our hiking designers have designed this NH Escape 500 23 liter backpack to accompany you during your walks, hikes and in your daily life.

How is volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each of the pockets. We then empty the balls into a graduated container which then gives us the equivalent volume in liters. The capacity of the main volume of this bag is 23 L. We also measured the volume with the 2 external side water bottle pockets, its total capacity increases to 25 L.

Your comfort above all

To fully enjoy your hikes, we put comfort at the heart of product design. The back, shoulder straps and handle are comfortable thanks to a thickness and structure composed of different foams covered with a 3D mesh to improve ventilation and drying. The chest strap is adjustable in height and width, with cushioning. – Back: 5 pads composed of 2 foams (PE – PU) 15 mm thick, – Shoulder straps composed of 2 foams (EVA – PU) 8 -13 mm thick.

14 pockets and 3 compartments to keep you organized

– 3 compartments and numerous pockets (14), to separate and organize all your belongings, – 1 compartment with secure zip, including 2 pockets for 15″ PC and 13″ tablet, raised to avoid shocks, – 5 zipped pockets, 1 6.8″ phone pocket (left strap), – 2 expandable and covering water bottle holders, – 1 organizer and 1 key ring, – 1 lamp holder, – 1 strap to connect to a suitcase.

Water Resistant

The bag’s components are water-repellent, allowing you to temporarily continue your walk/hike in a light rain shower. Please note: this backpack is not waterproof and does not come with a rain cover. If you want to continue your walk/hike in rainy weather and protect your belongings, we recommend this model: “20 to 40 liter rain cover”, available on our website, reference 8734213.

Exterior dimensions

Height: 46 cm | Width: 28 cm | Thickness: 22 cm. This bag can be used as cabin baggage when traveling by plane, as its dimensions meet airline requirements (IATA). We recommend that you contact your airline for details of the size and weight restrictions in force concerning cabin baggage.

Tested for optimal resistance

To ensure your bag is durable, laboratory tests are conducted on components and assemblies, simulating the aging of backpacks. For example, for a fabric, we test its resistance to abrasion and tearing, its color fastness to UV rays and washing, and its waterproofness. These tests allow us to guarantee the tested bags for a period of 10 years from the purchase date indicated on the receipt.

How to adjust your bag?

– Loosen all straps, shoulder straps and chest strap, – Put on the bag, – Buckle the chest strap, adjust it in height and width, – Tighten the shoulder straps (from top to bottom), – Adjust to your liking. It’s done!

How to fill your backpack?

– Place heavy equipment, such as a computer or picnic, at the bottom and in the designated locations. Clothes will be stored around them; – In the pockets, place the small items for the day (telephone, sunscreen, map, glasses, keys, wallet, etc.); – The water bottle(s) will be placed in the exterior side pockets provided for this purpose.
